The JDroids Robotics is an independent team participating in the FIRST Tech Challenge based in Wayne, New Jersey. team consists of 15 members both from middle and high schools. The team has a long history, having participated in FIRST Lego League for three years and in FIRST Tech Challenge for four years, including this year. The team has also created a new FIRST Lego League teams in Wayne, NJ.
JDroids operates under the motto of "Learn. Do. Share." We learn from our own experiences creating robots and also from engineering and software professionals. And with what we've learned, we do: we pariticipate in FIRST coopertitions and embrace the philosophy of gracious professionalism...

Our team captain, Anthony Tazzetto, is of Native American descent and spent time with Dr. Holly Pellerin of Fond du Lac Tribal Community College discussing ways we can inspire Native American children to become involved in FIRST robotics and pursue STEM education.
Run by Coach Karthik Ramani, we found that the creation of the team would be a great way of keeping the FTC JDroids legacy. As kids age out from FIRST Lego League, they can automatically move up to our FTC level team; making it easier to continue participation in FIRST programs.
